Acceptable Use Policy

Provelex tests websites, so the rules about which websites matter. This policy is part of our Terms & Conditions.

Last updated: 4 November 2026

What counts as authorised

  • You own or operate the site, or you work for the organisation that does and testing it is part of your role.
  • A client or site owner has agreed that you may test it, and the scope covers what you are about to run.

You can record your authority by signing a declaration, adding a DNS record or publishing a small file on the site. Reports state which method was used. A declaration is your own statement, and you remain responsible for it being true.

Reading a public competitor page

A competitor snapshot is a passive read of a single public page, the same as any browser opening it. It does not sign in and sends no test input. It is the only feature intended for a site you do not control. Do not use it to get around the rules on this page.

What you must not do

  • Test a site or system without authorisation, or beyond the scope you were given.
  • Enter a login you are not entitled to use.
  • Use Provelex to attack, overload or disrupt any service, or to search for victims.
  • Use the results to exploit a weakness in someone else's system.
  • Point an assessment at a production system without the agreement of the people responsible, if testing could affect its users or data.
  • Try to reach private networks or internal addresses through the hosted service. These requests are refused.
  • Open several accounts to collect joining credits, or try to get around credit, rate or capacity limits.
  • Automate the free tools at volume or resell them. They have hourly limits per address for this reason.
  • Try to break into, reverse engineer or interfere with Provelex itself. Good-faith security research is welcome under the Responsible Disclosure rules.
  • Use the service to break any law, or to infringe anyone's rights.

What we may do

We may refuse or stop a run, withdraw shared links, or suspend or close an account where we believe this policy has been broken. We may keep records of what happened and share them where the law requires, or with an affected site owner where that is needed to deal with abuse.

Report misuse

If you think Provelex has been pointed at your website without permission, write to provelex@devsapience.com with the address of the site and the date and time you noticed it.
