How Provelex Website Assessments Work

There are two routes. The free route takes one address and no account. The full route tests your application more deeply, including pages behind a login, and keeps the results in your account.

The free route: a Basic assessment

  1. 1

    Enter an address

Type the address of a public page. Private and internal addresses are refused.
  2. 2

Confirm you are allowed to test it

Tick the box stating you own the site or are authorised to test it. The Acceptable Use Policy applies.

  3. 3

Provelex reads up to three pages

A browser on our server opens the page and up to two pages it links to on the same site. It does not sign in, send test input or use an AI model.
  4. 4

    Read your results

You see a score, findings in plain language and which pages were read. You can download a PDF, and the result is deleted after 30 minutes.

The full route: an assessment in your account

  1. 1

    Add your application

Give it a name and an address. You can add as many applications as you need, and each keeps its own history.
  2. 2

    Confirm your authorisation

Sign a declaration, add a DNS TXT record or publish a small file on the site. Every report states which method was used.
  3. 3

Add a login, if you want signed-in pages tested

Your login is encrypted before it is stored, and the AI model sees a placeholder instead of your password. Use a test account where you can. See the Security Practices page.

  4. 4

Choose the depth and see the price

Choose Intermediate or Advanced, and optionally a different AI model. The exact credits are shown before you start. See Pricing.

  5. 5

    Provelex runs the assessment

It explores up to 25 pages, runs its automated checks on each, writes test cases for what it finds and carries them out in a real browser. You can watch progress as it happens, and stop the run.
  6. 6

    Review the report

You get a score, an executive summary, findings with suggested fixes and evidence for each test. What a report contains

  7. 7

Check the findings and fix what matters

Automated findings can be wrong, so confirm each one against the site. Then pass the report to your developer, QA team or security specialist.
  8. 8

    Run it again

After making changes, run another assessment. Provelex shows what was fixed, what is new, what is still open and what could not be re-checked.

What happens to your data

Free results are deleted automatically. Results in an account stay until you ask us to delete them. In Intermediate and Advanced runs, page content goes to the AI model doing the work. The Privacy Policy lists who receives what and for how long.
