Disclaimer

Provelex assessments are automated and informational. They help you decide what to look into. They are not a guarantee, a certificate or a substitute for expert review.

Automated results have limits

An assessment covers only the pages and checks listed in its report, at the moment it ran. It may report something that turns out not to be a problem, and it will not find every problem. A clean result means these checks found nothing on those pages. It does not mean nothing is wrong.

Security

A security finding marks something to review in context. It does not by itself mean a website has been compromised, and the absence of findings does not mean a website is secure. Provelex is not a penetration test by a qualified professional. For sensitive applications, use both.

Accessibility

Automated checks can detect some accessibility barriers. Many can only be found by people, including people who use assistive technology. A Provelex result does not certify conformance with WCAG or with any accessibility law.

Performance

Performance figures are lab measurements taken from our server, under the conditions of that run. They vary between runs and differ from what your visitors experience on their own devices and networks.

The score

The score out of 100 is a summary, calculated by published rules. It is not a rating of your organisation, a measure of legal compliance, or an indication of how likely your site is to be attacked.

AI-generated content

Intermediate and Advanced assessments use AI models to explore, test and write. AI models can make mistakes, including stating something confidently that is wrong. Check a finding against the actual website before you act on it. See AI Website Assessment.

Search rankings

Fixing the issues Provelex reports may improve your website, but no assessment can guarantee a search ranking or any amount of traffic.

Not professional advice

Nothing in a report or on this website is legal, compliance or security advice. Talk to a qualified professional about your own situation.

Standards

References to OWASP, WCAG, ISO/IEC 25010 and similar standards show what a check relates to. They do not mean those organisations endorse Provelex, or that a report certifies compliance with them.
